Orgasmic Birth on 20/20

My goal was an orgasmic birth with my first.

Did I have orgasmic births?

I can’t say my births were exactly orgasmic.  Not the same type of orgasmic feeling as with sex but they were all very orgasm like. The build up and release and complete satisfaction followed by bliss was very much like with a sexual orgasm.

I agree with the video that your expectations create your reality.  You can transform the intensity of birth into something sensual and pleasurable.  If you choose to relax into the intensity and create the sounds consistent with pleasurable sounds you can transform the intensity into ecstasy.

Intensity is inevitable, suffering is optional, ecstasy is possible.

Was birth orgasm like for you?  Did you know about orgasmic birth?

My first birth was amazing, but I think because I had already done it once before and my body had already been stretched open like so, my second birth was totally orgasmic. Not all the way through, but there were points during the labor that were pure ecstasy. Once I let go and just let the waves ride their course, they took me on an amazing journey! I wish for women to know that it is possible! If you care to read my story, you can check out my blog. It has been almost a year since my son was born, at our home, in the caul. I’ve been thinking a lot about birth and celebrating how lucky I have been to have two amazing experiences in the comfort of my own home. I also remember watching your birth Dr. Nancy and gaining the courage to head into my own labor land just a short while after. Thanks for your posting and inspiration!
