Happy Birthday to Oziah!!

maternity classes, prenatal education, childirth classes Oziah is one year old today!.

If you haven’t actually watched his birth yet, you can see it here.

In celebration of his birthday, check out this special offer.

Can you believe one year has passed?

In the passed year a lot has changed.  We moved from a family of four to a family of five and life is definitely busier.  I did find the transition to three kids easier than the transition to two, because the first two are so entertained by each other, but there is one more person to pay attention to, get dressed, feed, and strap into a car seat.

Oziah has been such a perfect addition to our home.  He has always been calm and happy.  Sunday, we lay in bed and he just started laughing, not because anything was funny, just because he wanted to laugh and it made him feel good.

Check out the special offer below!

As all babies do, he has grown and grown.  He mastered crawling over the summer and can zoom up and down stairs in a flash.  He just cut his seventh tooth on Sunday, loves to clap, wave, and give high fives.  He can stand up and squat down with no assistance and his newest skill is WALKING!!  Everyday he takes a few more steps and can now make it half way across a room by himself!

They grow so fast.

Over the past year, I have also grown.

I have let go (actually still working on letting go of) of my over-ambition to have everything done now.  I am working hard to stay in the present moment and not let my ideas for what I want to accomplish take over my enjoyment of what is, right now.

As you likely know, I am a chiropractor and practice chiropractic in Barrhaven (Ottawa) with my chiropractor husband.   I love chiropractic, believe every person should be checked regularly from birth, would never go without care for myself or my kids, but my true passion is childbirth.  This  year has allowed me to really evaluate my purpose in the world and how I can best serve humanity.  I have decided that empowering women to create the gentlest births for their babies is really where I can best use my skills and talents.  My husband is supporting me pursing my passion of empowering women to create gentle births and has currently taken over my pregnancy and babies chiropractic practice.

I began my my membership site http://naturalbirthbabyandbeyond.com  just 3 months after Oziah was born.  I have great plans and expectations for and it but I did have to give myself permission to let go for a while and realize that all good things happen in their own time.  Now that Oziah is a little older I will be able to dedicate more time to having it reach my standards.

My goal is to have a comprehensive childbirth empowerment program available on http://naturalbirthbabyandbeyond.com very soon.  This program will give women the tools they need to know their choices in childbirth, to recognize their own past programming, and move forward to create the best birth for them and their baby.  In the meantime, http://naturalbirthbabyandbeyond.com is still a great place to get community support for natural birthing and parenting from myself and other moms on the community forum, plus you get my current eBooks free in the resources.

Expect much more to come.

In celebration of his birthday, I have decided to offer a significantly reduced fee to join the member-only community.  Oziah is one today and my daughter Leilani just turned six last week, so I decided the monthly memberships should be $1 for the next 6 months.   This will give you time to see the content that is coming over the next weeks and months and create some community connections on the members-only forum.

Let’s get the conversation going and create a community of like minded mamas.  This offer is only valid to the end of October, so join today!

Thank you for sharing this with me, it really touches my heart to know that others have been inspired to create gentle births for them and their babies. It really makes me realize how important this all is and that we can make birth better.

My little Michio was born 7:37 am on Oct 16th last year. I watched your journey as long as I could until this little one decided it was time to follow suite. I thank you for your bravery that has resulted in aided so many others to take control of their birth in their own way.
